Peace Around The World
Peace Around The World

Democracy as given by Abraham Lincoln is “the government of the people, by the people and for the people” has the advantage of being very expressive. This is what spontaneously comes to our minds when we mention democracy.

Now we can say that Peace and democracy are two faces of the same coin; they are linked together, democracy leads to peace and peace cannot be achieved without democracy.

The world is more democratic today than ever before, so it is important to look critically at our own democratic practices as well as how those practices can be used in the process of peace building, and at the end we all know that war is a reason for poverty as hundreds of billions of dollars go for military programs and devilish weapons of war.

Money goes for war so the future will bring us war. But if the money goes for a well defined agenda for peaceful progress maybe we will find peace at the end of the road.“Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.” …Expressive words by Gandhi who was trying to say that we’ll have a peaceful future if we start with ourselves, and it’s not impossible to live in peace.
